Society Lectures

CHANGE OF VENUE FOR FRIDAY LECTURE 25 APRIL 2014 FROM ST ALBANS SCHOOL TO VERULAMIUM MUSEUM AT 7.45PM ‘MEDIEVAL PEASANT HOUSES: DID THE BLACK DEATH CAUSE A BUILDING BOOM?’

This is due to the fact that St Albans School will be hosting their Annual  Lecture and Dinner on behalf of ex-pupil  and physicist, Professor Stephen Hawking.

The school car park is sometimes crowded; notice will be given in the programme when possible but the School does not always warn us. The nearest public car park is at Gombards where parking is free after 6.30pm.

Meetings are open to all members of the Society; non-members may attend two meetings as guests.

Reports on past lectures and synopses of future ones appear in our newsletters. If a lecturer has provided additional information (which may be the text of the lecture, notes, pictures or other material) it is published here.
