| The Clock Tower | The Clock Tower was built in the 15th Century to symbolise the town’s independence from the Abbey. We need volunteers to open this unique monument over summer weekends. |

| Social Activities | We have a regular New Year Party, and opportunities to socialise at our AGM and other events. St Albans is partnered with Worms and Alzey in Germany, Odense in Denmark, Fano in Italy, and Nevers in France. The Society usually gives a reception for any visiting historical or archaeological groups. |
| Excursions | The Society organises visits to sites of archaeological and historical interest. These are advertised on this website and in our Newsletter. |
