SAHAAS subscriptions to journals

The Society subscribes to several periodicals including The Local Historian and Current Archaeology.  We also have a full set of the Society’s early periodical (the Transactions) and our own journal Hertfordshire Archaeology & History.  Other holdings are indicated in List of Journals in the Database (see below). 

Copies online, in the Library and elsewhere

There are digital copies of the Society’s Transactions and Newsletters on the website. Most of the journals listed in our database (see List below) can be found in our Library. However, we only have partial holdings  of the Transactions of the East Herts Archaeological Society, the Herts Illustrated Review and Home Counties Magazine.  The Abbey Muniment Room (for the Alban Link only) and St Albans Central Library have copies where we do not, apart from one edition of the Herts Illustrated Review which is held only by HALS at Hertford.

The Society’s journals database (see below) lists selected articles from a variety of journals held in the Society’s Library (and elsewhere) that focus on Hertfordshire and St Albans. It is updated twice a year (in January and July) to reflect material published in the preceding six months. The database is published in MS Excel spreadsheet format.
