District Council Development Strategy

for the development of St Albans in the next 20 years

Urban Practitioners Ltd has been commissioned by St Albans City and District Council to produce a report for the Council's 20-year development strategy. We welcome this initiative, particularly at a time of economic recession when it is essential to have a clear vision of how St Albans should be developed. Our participation in the polls, surveys and workshops organized by Urban Practitioners has convinced the Society's Council that a new Museum of St Albans should be a core element of the development strategy.

A 'raked lecture theatre' sounds like the format of a cinema. Were a new museum connected to the proposed cinema in the Civic Square, they could share facilities, making the cinema more viable.
