This undated image from the St Albans Museums Collection is taken from a wood engraving illustration which is part of the Lewis Evans Collection,  and appears to be a cutting from a book or magazine.  It shows  "Barnard's Heath [sic.]" (title at bottom partly missing), St Albans, with a single pedestrian walking along the road in the foreground and a church or similar building in the distance.
