Invitation to consultation on future development
The President of the Arc & Arc has received the following email and urges you to respond to St Albans District Council.

Shaping Our Community – Core Strategy: Consultation on the Proposed Strategy for Locating Future Development in the District
We have pleasure in enclosing a copy of the Shaping Our Community consultation document that has been produced by St Albans City & District Council. The Council would very much welcome your views on the proposed strategy for where future development could be located in the District. This is your opportunity to comment on whether our proposals are keeping the balance between competing needs:
- to preserve the Green Belt locally,
- to provide more affordable homes,
- to ensure sustainable development and appropriate infrastructure is achieved.
The best way for you to make comments is by completing the online survey to be found on the Council's website. Links to the consultation document will also be available on the webpage.
If you do not have internet access, you can view documents at the District, Parish and Town Council Offices and at local libraries within the District and complete a paper questionnaire. Please return it to: Shaping Our Community Consultation, Planning Policy Team, St Albans Council, Civic Centre, St Peter’s Street, St Albans, AL1 3JE by the closing date.
The Council is also holding a number of public surgeries where you can get more information and make comments. See the Council's website or contact the planning policy team for details.
The deadline for submitting questionnaires is 7 February 2011.
