In February (2011) the Council began work on the Clock Tower to replace wooden louvre slats covering some of the windows and repoint the brickwork. A full survey of the Grade I listed building is also being carried out. The work is scheduled to take 10 weeks. Meanwhile the lovely building is shrouded in plastic. For more information see the St Albans City and District Council press release of 16 February.
