The St Albans & Hertfordshire Architectural & Archaeological Society, also known as the ‘Arc and Arc‘, recently celebrated its 175th Anniversary, as the Society was formed in 1845. Since then, our Society has been the meeting point for people curious about the history of St Albans and its environs. Like the original members, we seek to promote an interest in and the study of local history. Our motto is Discover, Protect, Innovate and Inform. Joining the Society is straightforward, and there are many opportunities to get involved.
