Casting a historian’s eye on the phenomenon, taking James Bond from the novels to the silver screen, our speaker puts Bond in his changing contexts to consider how the franchise has developed and might change.

Professor Jeremy Black MBE is a prolific lecturer and writer, and the author of over 100 books. Many concern aspects of 18th century British, European and American political, diplomatic and military history but he has also published on the history of the press, cartography, warfare, culture and on the nature and uses of history itself.
