The visit will commence at The Forge Museum in Much Hadham at 10.30 on 18th September. This Museum is run by the Hertfordshire Buildings Preservation Trust and sister heritage site to the Cromer Windmill. It is set in an attractive Grade II* listed building situated in the picturesque village of Much Hadham.

Originally a farmhouse of Moor Place, the earlier parts of the building date from the 15th century, Horseshoe Cottage and Forge Cottage date from the 16th century . We shall have a guided tour of The Forge followed by a guided walk of the village. The cost will be £4.50 per person. Please let me have your cheque made payable to SAHAAS and send to 7 Cranmore Court, Avenue Road, AL1 3QS.

The Bull has been recommended for lunch. Please let me know if you intend to do so and I will warn them of the numbers likely to turn up.

There is an important exhibition on at the Henry Moore Foundation nearby in Perry Green which combines works by Rodin with Moore. I have been in touch with them trying to organise a group visit in the afternoon but even juggling with the dates, they are so booked up, I have been unable to do so. However, individually it would be possible to go in the afternoon. Entrance fee is £10.00.

Please let me know if you would like to share transport.
