This Autumn both lectures and seminars will be held online (via Zoom) rather than in the Marlborough Road church. All bar one of these events will be presented by our own members to whom we are most grateful. About five days before each lecture or seminar, members will be sent an 'enews' detailing how to register for the event through Eventbrite. You'll receive an acknowledgement by return, and about six hours before the event, a Zoom link. You can log in to the event using the Zoom link about five minutes before it starts. When you log in, you'll be held in a 'waiting room' until the organiser admits you to the event.
A handy printable booklet explaining how to watch online SAHAAS lectures and seminars can be found at this link.
Lectures start at 7.45pm and, from the 6 October lecture, are open to members and non-members. The latter pay £5 to attend a talk and this payment is made by Eventbrite at registration. You can log in from about 7.40pm. Each lecture will last about 30-45 minutes, and will be followed by a Q&A session.
Seminars start at 2.30pm and are open to members only - no more than 25 on each occasion to allow a reasonable chance for those attending to contribute. You can log in from about 2.25pm onwards. Each seminar will last about 60 minutes and will comprise a short talk by the presenter, followed by a discussion mediated by the convenor.
