Lecture: ‘Poking and Prying with a Purpose’ – The joys, triumphs and tribulations of research
June 22, 2021 7:45 PM - 9:00 PM at Zoom
As the Society approaches the end of the year in which it has celebrated 175 years since its establishment this is an opportunity to hear first-hand from those members who undertook research relating to the Society’s exhibition at the St Albans Museum. ‘Discover, Protect, Innovate and Inform’ which highlighted the contribution to the community by SAHAAS over the past 175 years was sadly, due to Covid, only available to view for a limited period. However, you can now experience a flavour of it through the presentations of three members regarding their personal journeys in undertaking the research.
Kris Lockyear: The Wheathampstead Ewer
Jon Mein: Revd Charles Boutell- ‘a life of continuous trouble’
Jill Singer: Kingsbury Barn
Other researchers will be available on the night to answer questions regarding the focus of their research.
More details to follow.
