Protect

In partnership with other bodies, such as St Albans Museums, the Civic Society and the Hertfordshire Archive and Library Service (HALS), the Society seeks to protect the heritage of St Albans by:

  • collecting, cataloguing and analysing a wide variety of historical documents so that these are accessible to researchers; and
  • encouraging the retention and sympathetic restoration and reuse of historic buildings of merit. The Clock Tower and the Gables are early examples.
